If you're unfamiliar with this band, amazarashi (whose name translates to "weather beaten") is a highly-successful two-member band that was formed in 2007. They have released 5 singles and 4 studio albums, all of which have broken the top 20 on Japan's Oricon charts. Their songs have been used as themes in many notable franchises, such as the anime My Hero Academia and the hit 2017 Square Enix game Nier: Automata. The band has garnered critical acclaim in Japan and around the world for their unique sound and artistic vision. They are also quite well-known for their use of compelling visuals and innovative technology in their music videos. While their music is full of positive themes, amazarashi makes a point of addressing distressing real-life themes head-on, with inspiring results.
